Subject: Zone 2A Chairmans Report
Zone 2A******************* Chairman's Report**************************Feb.15/2010
I have visited all clubs within my Zone. Unlike my fellow
Zone Chairperson Ian Douglas, I don't track my mileage, but I do get around to
visit each club.
Attended the Blackie interclub on January
28th/2010, which was very well attended. They had a progressive draw, with the
profits being donated to a local charity. A strong contingent of Lions from the
I have put a heavy emphasis on promoting LIONS IN
SIGHT within the zone. I personally drafted an article that is printed in the
Western Wheel and the Gateway Gazette, expounding Lionism and all the subtle
and visible ways that Linism contributes to creating a better culture within
their communities, and fosters the spirit of value through giving; thus
"WE SERVE" and assist in promoting goodness within the world
and more specifically within the community. The Eagle100.9 through their
Community Service Calendar has also aired the message of Lions in Sight, and
this opportunity reaches a vast number of rural denizens, so it all has been

I have sent out updates to all clubs promoting the
Leadership rally in Claresholm.
Membership: Nanton 2 new Members whom are to be inducted at
the Nanton Lions Club year end wind-up. Foothills Lions Club has 3 new members
who are to be inducted Feb. 16th/ 2010 by District Governor Fred Walters at a
Foothills Lions Meeting. Blackie has 3 or possibly 4 new prospective members
that are interested in joining their club.
I will be scheduling our next Zone Meeting for
early in March.
