I was elected Vice District Governor at the 30th annual convention in Kananaskis in March 2008 and I appreciate your trust and faith that I will serve in this capacity to the best of my ability.
I have been married to my wife Marion for 49 years and we have three children, Janus, John and Janean and also have five grandchildren.
I believe in Lionism and have worked in Beiseker for Lions since 1996 and have served as Vice President, President and Secretary.
My work in the District and has been Zone Chairman for Zone 1A and serve 3 years in Cabinet.

Lion John will be running for the position of First Vice District Governor for the year of 2009/2010 at the District Convention in Canmore.
Lion John joined the Bowness Lions Club in 2000 and was inducted in June, 2001. He has served on the Board of Directors since joining the club in various positions and just recently served as President. Lion John is Past Chairman of the Lions Pride in the community for 2007. At present he is serving his 2nd term as Zone Chairman for 1C. Lion John is a Certified Guiding Lion. He has received the Jack and Denise Isaman CNIB Fellowship and Melvin Jones Fellowship.
Lion John is married to his best friend Sandra and they have 3 daughters and 1 son, 3 Granddaughters and 5 Grandsons.
Lion John and Sandra enjoy doing Lion events, camping, golfing and spending time with their family and friends.
